Advertising accomplishes three things: It informs those who are unfamiliar with your product, persuades those who are comparison shopping, or reminds those who have used your product.

Advertising is only one component of marketing and must be part of a comprehensive marketing solution that starts with research. If your product does not meet some existing desire or need of the customer, your advertising will ultimately fail. Market research investigates and determines a specific need, then delivers a product that satisfies that need.
